Data Sovereignty
ServerAlliance's unique service is based on the strong respect for privacy, security, and neutrality allowing governments and other customers to host their IT platforms from unique state-of-the-art data centres in South Africa.
It's about Data Sovereignty!
Most cloud Services and many of the Virtual Private Server hosting service providers purveying their goods in South Africa do not have Data Centres (DC's) physically in South Africa. Some do, and some are trying to, but ServerAlliance does!
We have:
- South African only DC's
- South African Company: BBEEE 4
- South African only Support and Expertise
Why don't you give us a call and we'll discuss the importance of Data Sovereignty over a braai and a beer!
Why does Data Sovereignty matter?
In very basic terms, Cloud Computing means such institutions do not own the physical infrastructure, software, or services used, but rents or outsources them in some form from a service provider.
This may mean that information hosted in these Datacentres may then be accessible by other governments through legal means such as search warrants (under the law of the land where the data centre physically exists).
ServerAlliance Datacentres are located such so that it allows public institutions and other customers sovereignty over the data as if that data were hosted by a data centre within the physical borders of their nation, South Africa!
Our best parties are held in our datacentre basements. Join us!
